13 years after his separation, Genesis would go on tour again

13 years after his separation, Genesis would go on tour again
The legendary British band  Genesis announced a return live, at dawn on Wednesday , March 4, 13 years after their last show, according to the British newspaper said The Sun .

The group, whose last formation is composed of Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks , today all 69 years old, performed for the last time in 2007, when it celebrated its 40th anniversary.

In England, via Twitter, the BBC Radio 2 began to throw clues that "a massive band is gathering" , and that they would reveal the news exclusively on a program of the station, in the early hours of Wednesday.

Since the publication was uploaded on Tuesday afternoon, rumors have begun circulating on social networks to suggest that Genesis is the band in question.
The news will be known during the program of Zoe Ball , a well-known British presenter. With an intrigue worthy of some black novel, the presenter tweeted to say that BBC Radio would begin clearing doubts after 6.30 in the UK . After the revelation, the group will talk live in the studio.

But The Sun anticipated the move, and announced the group meeting, with name and surname, and revealed that the band will play in different stadiums in Britain during November 2020. And anticipated that tickets will be put on sale at the end of March.

Guitarist Mike Rutherford had hinted in 2017 that Genesis could now return to celebrate its 50th anniversary. But by then everything went to nothing.
Collins and Rutherford, however, met a few months ago on a stage in Berlin. Together they performed Follow You Follow Me , theme of their 1978 album ... And Then There Were Three . Precisely during Tuesday, the band uploaded a photo of those times on their Instagram account, with the legend of the title.

To Collins the last images showed him deteriorated and with health problems. A series of ailments had taken him several years off the stage and when he played in Buenos Aires in 2018, he was seen all the time sitting in a chair , devoid of the histrionic deployment that any mass spectacle entails.

Considered one of the brightest singers and composers of the last decades, Collins remained seated and made walking with a cane . The fragility postcard was a dagger for his followers. In fact, the musician had anticipated during 2018 that if the reunion became reality it would be with his son Nicholas replacing him in the drums.
Now, everything indicates that he, along with Rutherford and Banks will return to the route, and that they will announce it around 3.30 (Argentine time) on Wednesday. The format is yet to be revealed. It is hard to imagine that Peter Gabriel or Steve Hackett , who left the group in the mid-1970s, are from the game. but from then on, everything seems possible.

Now, it's just a matter of waiting.
